CAPS Research, is a center established as a strategic industry partnership between Institute for Supply Management, Inc.® (ISM) and Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business (ASU). Information we collect
We may ask you for your name, email address, telephone number, company name, and job title. When you submit information, it is sent to an organization in the United States and you hereby consent to this transfer. All user data is stored in a personalized and secure location. We do not target offerings toward, nor do we knowingly collect any personal information from, users under 13 years of age; if you believe we have information about a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can delete the information.
Publicly-available info: We may also collect publicly-available information about the computers, mobile devices, or other technology you use to access our site, such as IP address, unique device identifiers, browser types, browser languages, web pages requested, network software access, referring web pages, date, time, and duration of activity, volume of data storage and transfers, and location while connected. This helps us to update, expand and analyze our records, identify new customers, and provide products and services that may be of interest to you.
Automated decisions: CAPS may use publicly-available information and your secured, encrypted use patterns on our site to deliver you with a better membership experience; however, CAPS does not utilize personal information for automated decision making with any legal, financial, or otherwise significant effects. The information we access is available to you upon request.
Credit card transactions: If you are paying by credit card, your credit card details are passed to a third-party payment processor which is based in the USA and is certified to the EU-US Privacy Shield (which requires effective safeguards for your information). We do not retain your credit card information.
How we use the information
We are the sole users of the information you submit through this site. Your private contact information will not be shared with or sold to any third parties for commercial purposes. We will retain contact information for three years following inactivity, at which point, it will be deactivated and we may delete non-transactional history.
Your information is used to provide you with membership benefits or user account access to CAPS resources online. It may be used to respond to your inquiries and provide you with membership benefits, access to our document library, invitations to our benchmarking surveys, event information, and/or newsletters, as determined by your initial contact with us or to fulfill our membership contract with you and your employer. If you are employed by a company with CAPS corporate membership, your information may be shared with your employer.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you in the future to provide you with information about other CAPS membership benefits, offerings, or changes to this privacy policy.
